A Tesla smacked a Mini with its own door

A Tesla recognised its owner’s phone and obligingly swung open the door for him, just as he happened to be driving past in a Mini. The impact was light, but it still left scratches on both cars. The irony is hard to miss, because Tesla fits its models with software that is supposed to check whether it is safe to open the doors in the first place.
So much for foolproof electronics.
