Keeping a Ferrari on your balcony is forbidden

A twenty eight year old Vienna resident, Amar Dežić, recently had to call in a crane to remove his Ferrari 296 GTB from the balcony where he had parked it a few days earlier for the winter. He hoped to find a space elsewhere, yet every garage attached to the building was already taken.
The authorities intervened without delay. The local building inspection deemed the balcony unsafe for such weight and raised concerns about its structural integrity. The owner received an order to bring the car back down to ground level.
The Ferrari was supposed to spend the whole winter on that perch. Dežić even planned to surround it with a glass case and add lighting so that it would resemble a piece of art.
Instead, the 296 GTB will now spend the cold months in a storage facility rather than between concrete slabs that looked uncomfortably like theatre wings.
So even if you own a supercar worth 300000 euro, a balcony still refuses to become a garage.
