No Plates, No Brains: Kawasaki Rider Racks Up €6,400 in Fines Fleeing Police

On Monday night, a Latvian Kawasaki enthusiast decided to stage a full display of recklessness, driven by speedlust and a spectacular misunderstanding of the law. In a misguided tribute to freedom, he tore down the A10 highway without license plates, like a true anonymous outlaw.

Police repeatedly signaled for him to pull over. Instead, he saw the moment as a perfect opportunity to perform his best “Fast & Furious” solo act. One especially memorable scene played out in a village where the posted speed limit was 50 km/h. His Kawasaki was clocked at 184. Apparently, the rider missed the memo that this wasn’t the Nürburgring.

The chase, of course, ended as these things often do—with a crash. He was taken to the hospital, still seemingly unaware why police had taken such an interest. A later investigation revealed that the bike was actually stolen and had been listed as wanted since July of last year. Just a small detail—much like everything else related to legality.

In total, 15 violations were tallied, ranging from driving without a license or insurance to speeding in the wrong lane. The final bill? Over €6,400 in fines. Safe to say, every bit of foolishness now comes with a price tag.
