It is usually no more than a sharp gesture or a choice expletive that settles a dispute on the road. This time, however, the tension on the streets of Riga boiled over into a full-blown brawl. Two drivers, unwilling to concede an inch or find a compromise, decided the most sensible way to resolve their disagreement was with fists flying.
Judging by the voices echoing through the scuffle, at least one participant seemed to hail from the cultural expanse beyond the eastern border. Call it people’s friendship, if you will, only expressed in a rather more physical manner on this occasion.
