In Los Angeles, a police pursuit took an unusual turn Friday night when the driver of a stolen Infiniti, fleeing at speeds of up to 100 mph, was forced to make a pit stop for gas. After refueling, the suspect jumped back behind the wheel and continued the high-speed getaway with a full tank.
Police alternated between closing in and holding back during the chase, but the pursuit ended when the suspect abandoned the car beneath an overpass.
