THK Unveils LSR-05 Electric Car Prototype at Paris Auto Show<br><br>Japanese technology company THK, known for supplying components to leading automakers worldwide, has showcased its electric car prototype, the LSR-05, at the Paris Auto Show. This concept car was first revealed at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo. Designed in collaboration with Shiro Nakamura and the SN DESIGN PLATFORM, the LSR-05 highlights several of THK’s advanced technologies.<br><br>Founded in 1971 in Tokyo, THK has expanded its reach to the global automotive and manufacturing industries through 37 factories, including a strong presence in Europe with a facility in Ensisheim, France.<br><br>LSR-05 and THK Technologies<br><br>The LSR-05 was designed as a practical prototype, integrating a range of innovative THK technologies. These include the Stealth Seat sliding mechanism, allowing for a hidden seating system, in-wheel motors with a four-wheel steering system, active suspension, and a contactless charging system.<br><br>The car’s design, led by SN DESIGN PLATFORM, embodies the principles of luxury, sportiness, and revolutionary engineering. The result is a sporty, four-seat crossover coupe with a dynamic and elegant exterior. The LSR-05 measures 4995 mm in length, 1965 mm in width, and 1530 mm in height.<br><br>Technical Features<br><br>The LSR-05 is built on a platform that combines two of THK’s 93 kW (800 V) variable-flux electric motors in the rear wheels and a 220 kW (800 V) electric motor at the front. The four-wheel drive system, along with active suspension, MR fluid-based active dampers, and electric brakes, ensures smooth handling and stability in various driving conditions.<br><br>Passenger Comfort and Charging Technology<br><br>Inside, the LSR-05 offers a unique hidden seat adjustment system that allows for a flat floor, creating a spacious and comfortable cabin.
