Škoda's Lean, Mean Electric Machine Charges into a New Class

Škoda has taken its Enyaq Coupe RS electric SUV and transformed it into a lean, aggressive rally contender with a point to prove.

The Enyaq RS Race, as this striking newcomer proudly calls itself, is Škoda’s bold answer to anyone who still thinks electric cars are dull and soulless. Shedding a hefty 316 kilograms from the standard Enyaq, this version feels reborn, with a new urgency coursing through its lightweight frame.

The engineers took an audacious path, replacing body panels with sixteen flax-fiber biocomposites—the same humble material your grandmother might have woven into rag rugs. But this homespun-sounding fabric doesn’t flinch in the face of carbon fiber. The front and rear bumpers, roof, fenders, and spoiler all wear this green, futuristic armor.

Underneath, 20-inch OZ Racing wheels bolt on with purpose, while braking power is delivered by a carbon-ceramic system paired with ten- and four-piston calipers.

The interior borrows directly from the Fabia RS Rally2, featuring a quick-release steering wheel, Atechi racing seats with six-point harnesses, a full roll cage, and even an automatic fire suppression system.

Powered by two electric motors producing 340 horsepower, the Enyaq RS Race retains the same drivetrain as the regular RS Coupé. But thanks to its dramatic weight loss, it now sprints to 100 km/h in under five seconds. Top speed? A respectable 180 km/h.

And for those who crave a bit of theater, Škoda has integrated the Havas sound system, which kicks in above 30 km/h and can be tuned to match your mood, delivering the right sound and feel for every drive.
