Rolls Royce Cullinan Presidential stretches luxury beyond reason
Los Angeles based Platinum Motorsport, known as the automotive tailor to Kim Kardashian and other celebrities, joined forces with PML Chauffeur Services to create something that Rolls Royce itself has not dared to offer. The result is the Cullinan Presidential, claimed to be the world’s first true stretch limousine based on the latest generation Cullinan.
This is not a subtle makeover. It is major surgery.
Operation Presidential, cutting a super SUV in half
Footage released by Platinum Motorsport shows a brand new luxury SUV, worth well over €400,000 before modifications, being cut cleanly through its midsection. The workshop inserted a bespoke steel framework into the gap, extending the vehicle by at least one metre. The overall length now exceeds six metres.
The donor car was the updated Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II, unveiled in spring 2024 with revised headlights and a more contemporary interior. Under the bonnet remains Rolls Royce’s 6.75 litre twin turbocharged V12. It now carries significantly more mass, although exact performance figures remain undisclosed.
Stretching a body on frame SUV is one thing. Preserving torsional rigidity, ride comfort and the near silence expected of a Rolls Royce is another. Platinum Motorsport insists the structural reinforcements meet the brand’s standards, even if the project never passed through Goodwood’s own workshops.
Built for Hollywood and heads of state
The Cullinan Presidential was commissioned specifically for the fleet of PML Chauffeur Services. The target clientele includes Hollywood elites and visiting dignitaries seeking transport that feels closer to Air Force One than to a conventional SUV.
Rolls Royce has yet to introduce an official long wheelbase Cullinan limousine. Into that gap stepped American customisers, blending British craftsmanship and German engineered components with a distinctly American appetite for scale.
The result is unapologetically extravagant. A standard Cullinan already commands attention outside any five star hotel. Add another metre of wheelbase and the message becomes impossible to misread.
In an era where luxury often hides behind minimalism, the Cullinan Presidential chooses theatre instead. It does not whisper wealth. It arrives with a motorcade mindset, even if the destination is merely Sunset Boulevard.
