Renault Adds Alpine Edge to Megane E-Tech Electric Lineup
If you thought electric cars were as dull as last year’s forgotten loaf of bread in the cupboard, Renault is out to prove that power and style can pair as naturally as cheese and wine. The Megane E-Tech Electric now boasts a third trim level: esprit Alpine.
Sportier than ever yet smarter in energy conservation, this is the kind of electric car we’ve been waiting for. The addition of the One Pedal system allows for both acceleration and braking with a single pedal. Brake pads now enjoy a longer lifespan thanks to more intelligent use of regenerative braking.
Every Megane now comes standard with an 11 kW bidirectional charger, meaning it can both receive and supply electricity.
The Alpine spirit brings with it some visual flair: satin matte grey bodywork, black 20-inch alloy wheels and a proud Alpine logo on each wheel arch.
Inside, it's a black and blue homage with a conscience — fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles, blue stitching, and sporty yet comfortable seats that suit both spirited drives and everyday escapades.
Pricing in Estonia starts at €42,790 for the Techno, €44,790 for the sportier Alpine version, and €45,790 for the fully equipped Iconic — entirely reasonable for an electric vehicle.
