Porsche Keeps Profiting from Passion, Tops J.D. Power APEAL Rankings Again

For the second consecutive year, Porsche has been named the most emotionally satisfying premium car brand in J.D. Power’s 2025 APEAL study (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout). The survey evaluates new car owners’ emotional responses across 37 categories, from seat comfort to the thrill of pressing the accelerator.

The German sports car maker scored 890 out of 1000 points, with the Porsche 911 earning the highest model rating in the entire portfolio at 902. Meanwhile, the Taycan continued its winning streak, securing top honors for the third year in a row in the Upper Midsize Premium Car segment.

Results like these dovetail perfectly with Porsche’s enduring narrative: this is not just a mode of transport, but an experience.

J.D. Power surveyed nearly 93,000 new vehicle owners who had purchased their cars between March 2024 and February 2025. While the results clearly reflect the brand’s emotional pull, they don’t necessarily speak to long-term durability or everyday usability.

For Porsche, this study serves as powerful marketing ammunition, reinforcing its role as the car people buy with their hearts—not their spreadsheets.
