Porsche 911 Carrera T – lighter, sportier, and now available as a Cabriolet

The Porsche 911 Carrera T returns to the 2025 lineup, offering a Cabriolet version for the first time. This third modern iteration of the Carrera T combines a sporty chassis with the standard 911 Carrera engine, focusing on lightweight materials and a six-speed manual gearbox.

The 911 Carrera T is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine that delivers up to 388 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. The Coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, while the Cabriolet does the same in 4.5 seconds, with a top track speed of 295 km/h for the Coupe and 293 km/h for the Cabriolet.

The standard six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The auto-blip feature facilitates smooth downshifts and is part of the Sport Chrono package, which also includes four driving modes: Normal, Sport, Sport Plus, and Wet.

The Carrera T is equipped with several enhancements to emphasize its sporty nature, including the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system, which is 10 mm lower than the standard model. The braking system has also been upgraded with 350 mm front brake discs and six-piston calipers, enhancing stopping power. Standard rear-axle steering and Porsche Torque Vectoring further improve cornering dynamics by directing power to the rear wheels for optimal handling.

The Carrera T offers a minimalist, lightweight alternative to the standard 911, paying homage to the 1968–1973 “T” models designed for performance. Lightweight glass, reduced sound insulation, and a six-speed manual transmission all contribute to lower curb weight. Optional carbon fiber seats are available for those looking for even further weight reduction.

Distinct exterior details set the Carrera T apart, with Vanadium Grey accents on the mirrors, wheels, and other elements. Twelve color options are available, including eye-catching shades like Cartagena Yellow Metallic and Shade Green Metallic.

The standard interior features black and white seat trim with Vanadium Grey accents on the dashboard and center console. An optional Gentian Blue color package adds blue details to the dashboard, seat inserts, and instrument cluster rings.

The Carrera T includes Black Sport Seats Plus as standard, which can be upgraded to 18-way adjustable seats or fixed-back carbon fiber sport seats. The Coupe is a two-seater, while the Cabriolet offers four seats. Both models can also be fitted with a premium leather interior as an option.
