Peugeot Polygon Concept: A Vision of the Future Born Both in the Design Studio and in Fortnite
Peugeot has unveiled its next-generation concept car, the Polygon Concept, marking a bold new chapter in the brand’s design and technology story. The car doesn’t just look like it belongs to the future, it lives there — quite literally. Before its official debut on 12 November, the Polygon will first appear in the virtual world of Fortnite, where Peugeot invites fans and gamers to explore a specially created island called Polygon City.
The Polygon Concept is far more than a pretty face. It represents Peugeot’s vision of what driving pleasure could look like a decade from now. The design language remains unmistakably feline — low, taut and athletic, as if ready to pounce. But the real revolution hides behind the wheel. Peugeot is introducing its Hypersquare® Steering Control system for the first time, a steer-by-wire setup that removes any mechanical link between the steering and the wheels. Everything is controlled electronically, promising extraordinary precision and a steering feel more like a high-end game controller than a traditional wheel.
The exterior continues Peugeot’s recent design evolution: sharp lines, a wide stance and a play of light and shadow that evokes the poise of a wild animal.
As for the interior, details remain under wraps, but Peugeot calls it “revolutionary”. The company promises a new interpretation of space and digital interaction, featuring a broad panoramic screen and intuitive, physically responsive controls that maintain a tactile sense of connection even in a fully digital environment.
Developed in collaboration with game studio Gameloft, the dedicated Fortnite island, Polygon City, mirrors the distinctive shape of the Hypersquare® steering system. Players can explore the car virtually, examine its design details and experience Peugeot’s vision interactively rather than through static press photos. The project signals Peugeot’s intent to bring its future closer to a new generation, both visually and emotionally.
The Polygon Concept shows that Peugeot’s quest for the future isn’t limited to batteries and electric output. The brand is reimagining the relationship between human and machine. While many manufacturers focus on digitalising the car, Peugeot is digitalising the experience itself. By blending design, virtual reality and electronic control, the Polygon turns the concept of driving pleasure into something fresh, dynamic and unmistakably human.
Polygon isn’t just a preview of Peugeot’s future, it’s a reflection of how car culture is changing — where driving, gaming and art begin to merge into one and the same journey.
