Nissan Micra EV Hits Market with Surprisingly Modest Price Tag
Nissan has revealed pricing for the sixth-generation electric Micra, setting a starting point of around €26,900 in Europe. That positions the Micra as one of the most affordable brand-new all-electric vehicles on the market today.
The entry-level model, the 40kWh Engage, offers an official range of up to 319 km, while the larger 52kWh battery stretches that to 418 km — both improvements over previous estimates. These figures are, however, still pending final homologation.
Prices span from €26,900 for the Engage 40kWh to €34,950 for the top-tier Evolve 52kWh. In the UK, a potential £1,500 government incentive could further sweeten the deal, making the Micra an even more appealing urban EV option.
This is the first of four fully electric models Nissan plans to launch in Europe over the coming years. The new Micra prioritises efficiency: its aerodynamics have been refined without altering the main structural components. Charging speeds reach up to 100kW (or 80kW with the smaller battery), and both a heat pump and battery thermal management are standard.
Charging from 15 to 80 percent takes about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the NissanConnect app allows remote monitoring of charging status, interior temperature control, and route planning.
Infotainment is powered by a system integrated with Google Maps, capable of estimating battery levels and recommending charging stops based on consumption and weather — smart, though hardly groundbreaking.
As for size, the Micra keeps its city-friendly proportions: 3,974 mm long, 1,830 mm wide (excluding mirrors), 1,499 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,541 mm.
Orders open in the UK on September 1, 2025.
