New MINI Cooper and Aceman JCW Models Unveiled

At the Paris Motor Show, MINI introduced two powerful new electric models: the MINI Cooper and Aceman in their high-performance John Cooper Works (JCW) versions. These latest additions feature the most powerful electric motors in the MINI range and showcase a sportier design. The JCW models stand out with larger wheels and colorful brake calipers. MINI has also revealed the prices, with the electric Cooper JCW starting at €42,350 and the Aceman JCW at €45,450 in Europe.

Exterior Design and Sporty Details

Visually, the MINI Cooper and Aceman JCW versions distinguish themselves with 19-inch alloy wheels, darkened exterior accents, and bright red highlights. The roof color is another standout feature, available in either solid red or a red-to-black gradient. The three-door Cooper JCW features a checkered flag motif on the tailgate, a detail absent in the Aceman. Inside, the sporty theme continues with a black-and-red color scheme, and eco-friendly materials like faux leather and fabric.

Performance and Technical Specifications

Both models are powered by a 258-horsepower electric motor, the most powerful in MINI's electric lineup. Their top speed is limited to 200 km/h. The Cooper JCW accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, while the Aceman JCW achieves the same in 6.4 seconds. Despite having identical battery capacities of 54.2 kWh, their ranges differ: the Cooper JCW can travel up to 371 kilometers on a single charge, while the Aceman JCW has a range of 355 kilometers.

Special Feature: Go-kart Mode

One of the most exciting innovations in the JCW models is the "Go-kart Mode," highlighting MINI's playful and dynamic character. When activated, the mode unlocks the full power of the drivetrain, adding an extra 27 horsepower. This feature is particularly useful for quick overtakes or more dynamic acceleration.

Production and Sales Plans

Initially, production of the MINI Cooper JCW and Aceman JCW will take place in China, with plans to begin manufacturing in MINI's historic Oxford plant in the UK by 2026.
