Mitsubishi brings two new SUVs to Europe, but they are actually Renaults

Mitsubishi Motors continues to expand its product lineup in Europe and plans to launch two new C-segment SUVs in 2025. These new models are based on Renault technology and will help Mitsubishi strengthen its position in Europe.

The first of the new models will be available with both a gasoline engine (ICE) and a full hybrid (HEV) powertrain. This vehicle is likely analogous to the Renault Symbioz, and its length is about 4.4 meters. The hybrid version uses a three-motor system: one gasoline engine and two electric motors, which together provide a power output of 145 horsepower.

The second model is a fully electric SUV that shares technology with the Renault Scenic E-Tech. This electric car will have a power output of up to 218 horsepower and can travel about 600 kilometers on a single charge.

The addition of these new SUVs complements Mitsubishi's existing European model lineup, which includes the recently launched COLT and ASX (2023) and the flagship Outlander PHEV. In total, Mitsubishi will launch five completely new models between 2023 and 2025.

The new vehicles will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and built-in Google connectivity, making the use of the vehicle more convenient and intuitive. Additionally, they offer various powertrains according to customer preferences: gasoline engines, hybrids, and fully electric variants.

Both new SUVs will be manufactured in Europe at Groupe Renault's factories.
