Several ice roads were opened between Estonia’s islands, successfully replacing ferries that had run into trouble due to low sea levels.
However, because of a change in wind direction, seawater is now pushing onto the ice, and the Estonian Transport Administration closed all ice roads several days ago. Still, there are people who continue to use them.
