To mark its 120th anniversary, Hispano Suiza has signed a partnership with Michelin to develop bespoke tyres for its electric hypercar, the Carmen Sagrera.

Designed and built in Spain, the Carmen Sagrera delivers 1114 horsepower, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, and produces 1160 newton metres of torque. Such power demands a tyre capable of handling extreme performance both on track and on the road, which is why Hispano Suiza turned to Michelin.

Working with Michelin’s technical centre, the companies created a tailored version of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, sized 265/30 ZR19 at the front and 305/30 ZR20 at the rear. The result is a tyre engineered to match the Sagrera’s dynamic abilities, providing exceptional grip, stability, and endurance under intense load.

Design in Detail

The tyre sidewalls feature embossed motifs inspired by Hispano Suiza’s iconic stork emblem and Antoni Gaudí’s mosaic patterns, celebrating both the brand’s heritage and its Catalan roots. Michelin also applied its Velvet Touch technology, giving the tyre surface a smooth, satin-like finish.

A Partnership Reborn

The collaboration between Hispano Suiza and Michelin reaches back to the 1920s and 1930s, when Hispano Suiza cars required tyres that could withstand both luxury touring and competitive racing. More than a century later, that partnership continues powering now the next generation of electric performance.
