BYD Introduces Its Most Affordable Compact SUV, the ATTO 2, to the European Market
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has unveiled its latest compact SUV, the ATTO 2, designed specifically for the European market and positioned as the brand’s most affordable model to date. Combining cutting-edge Blade Battery technology, innovative Cell-to-Body (CTB) construction, and a suite of smart features, the ATTO 2 is tailored for urban environments, offering a blend of functionality, style, and efficiency.
The ATTO 2 made its public debut at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show. Compact and versatile, this urban SUV is just 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, and 1,675 mm tall. A 2,620 mm wheelbase maximizes interior space, while short overhangs emphasize the vehicle’s sporty design and practicality for city driving.
A Bright and Thoughtful Interior
The ATTO 2’s interior stands out for its clean lines and premium materials. A panoramic glass roof floods the cabin with natural light, creating a bright and airy ambiance. Thoughtfully placed storage solutions, including compartments under the armrest and integrated cupholders, add everyday convenience.
The cabin is designed with families in mind, offering a spacious rear seat and a 400-liter trunk. For added versatility, the rear seats can be folded flat, expanding the cargo space to an impressive 1,340 liters.
Powered by Advanced Blade Battery Technology
At the core of the ATTO 2 is BYD’s Blade Battery, integrated using CTB construction. This approach enhances chassis rigidity while optimizing space utilization. The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology used in the battery provides superior durability, safety, and environmental benefits.
Multiple Battery Options for Varied Needs
The ATTO 2 will be available with two battery configurations. The standard version features a 45.1 kWh Blade Battery, delivering a range of up to 312 kilometers (WLTP) and powered by a 130 kW electric motor driving the front wheels. A larger battery version offering extended range is set to launch in February 2025, providing even more options for buyers.
