Ahorn and Renault Roll Out New Generation of Camper Vans

German motorhome maker Ahorn Camp has teamed up with Renault to unveil a new generation of camper vans, all built exclusively on the brand-new Renault Master platform. Production kicks off in the summer of 2025, with sales running through Ahorn’s own dealerships and Renault’s Pro+ distributor network.

Ahorn becomes the first manufacturer to base its entire lineup on the updated Master. Manufacturing will be handled under the eye of the Erwin Hymer Group—a seasoned player in the motorhome world, albeit not without its missteps.

Marketing materials talk of a “holistic travel experience,” which in practice means Renault will equip the vehicles with its Aerovan bodywork and Blue dCi diesel engines, offering between 130 and 170 horsepower. A 9-speed automatic gearbox and a suite of driver assistance systems—now standard fare in the commercial segment—are also part of the package.

Inside, Ahorn promises “modern aesthetics” and a “seamless user experience,” though the press release is light on details. The lineup will feature nine camper models and two van variants, targeting both first-time adventurers and seasoned road warriors. Prices start at €52,800 for campers and €58,900 for vans—a position that expects buyers to be price-conscious without being willing to compromise.

The official debut is set for the 2025 Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, running from August 29 to September 7, with some models appearing at pre-launch events. Sales begin in Germany before expanding across Europe.
