Volvo Unveils More Details on the ES90’s Cutting-Edge Battery System

It seems Volvo had more to say about its latest electric sedan, the ES90. While the official unveiling has already taken place, the company has now released additional insights into the vehicle’s advanced battery system, highlighting its impressive charging speed and extended driving range.

At the heart of the ES90 lies 800V technology, a game-changing innovation that allows the car to gain up to 300 km of range in just 10 minutes. On a full charge, the ES90 can cover up to 700 km according to WLTP standards, making it Volvo’s most efficient EV to date.

This next-generation charging system significantly enhances usability and convenience. With a 350 kW fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes, reducing wait times and making long journeys more effortless than ever. Additionally, lighter electric motors and an optimized battery management system further improve overall efficiency and performance, ensuring a smoother and more dynamic driving experience.
