It is probably unfair to blame the driver. Someone clearly told him to do it.
If you need to reach a work site and plan to stay there for a week, this is certainly one way of getting in. Elegance is optional, no momentum, but the work should be done.
Practical, questionable, and unmistakably effective, at least until something important falls off.
