Talos XXT: A Race-Bred British Grand Tourer Unlike Anything on the Road
A small British carmaker has created something that blurs the line between art, motorsport and dream. It’s called the Talos XXT, a grand tourer of extraordinary rarity and intent. Only five will ever be built, and not one will be identical to another. Every surface, seam and curve is designed to reflect its owner’s taste and temperament.
The Talos XXT begins with the same foundations once used by the Ferrari 599 GTB, but that’s where the similarities end. Beneath its carbon skin lies a 6-litre V12 producing 674 horsepower, enough to catapult it from rest to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 330 km/h. Those figures place it firmly among the world’s elite performance cars.
Talos replaced every metal panel of the 599 with a carbon-fibre body that is both lighter and dramatically stiffer. The result is a shape sculpted as much by wind as by imagination. Even standing still, the XXT looks ready to charge up a mountain pass.
Inside, the car balances race-bred functionality with the quiet indulgence of a private jet. Black Alcantara, hand-stitched leather and exposed aluminium create an atmosphere that is both severe and elegant. Each of the five cars will be built entirely by hand, with every detail—from seat contouring to switchgear—specified by its future owner.
Buyers can opt for a manual gearbox, commission a bespoke engine tune, or choose between gloss and matte carbon finishes. No two XXTs will ever share the same configuration.
Despite its track-inspired looks, the Talos XXT remains fully road-legal. Its suspension and steering promise precision without punishing stiffness, allowing it to feel as composed on the Nürburgring as it does sweeping along the Riviera.
At the car’s unveiling, Talos Vehicles founder Jamie Thwaites described the XXT as the purest expression of the company’s ethos: passion, precision and uncompromising dedication. The two-year development process brought together engineers and artisans united by a single goal—to create not just another supercar, but a machine that embodies the personality of its owner.
The Talos XXT seems to exist outside time, in a world where metal and muscle matter more than sensors and screens. It’s a physical reminder that mechanical beauty and human craftsmanship can be as desirable as the latest digital technology.
With only five hand-built examples planned, the Talos XXT is less a car than a statement. It belongs not merely in a garage, but among legends. Each one will roar with its own V12 voice, a personal declaration forged in carbon and fire.
