Stellantis is making a bold play in the U.S., committing more than twelve billion euros to factories, innovation, and an onslaught of new models—a move that’s as strategic as it is political.

The automotive giant has announced the largest North American investment in its history. Over the next four years, Stellantis will channel roughly $13 billion (about €12.1 billion) into plant upgrades, R&D, and product development. The funding will modernize existing production lines and bankroll a suite of new projects, including the creation of five entirely new vehicles.

According to the company’s official statement, the U.S. lineup will soon welcome two new Jeeps, a previously absent mid-size pickup, a large SUV powered by a traditional combustion engine, and a new hybrid model. Stellantis also confirmed what Dodge loyalists have long been waiting for—the next-generation Durango, slated to debut in 2029.

Major launches are planned for 2027 and 2028, signaling a full-scale offensive against American rivals like Ford and General Motors. Beyond the product push, Stellantis estimates the program will create around 5,000 new jobs, cementing its reputation as a key industrial partner for the U.S. government and a serious player in the nation’s automotive future.
