Renault to Unveil All-New Clio in Munich This September
On September 8, Renault will reveal the next iteration of its most important model, the sixth-generation Clio, at a press conference in Munich. The public debut follows a day later, when the new Clio will take center stage at the IAA Open Space event on Odeonsplatz, running from September 9 to 14.
Few cars in Europe command such recognition. Since its launch in 1990, the Clio has sold in the millions, remaining a steadfast pillar of Renault’s lineup and a perennial leader in the sales charts. In the first half of 2025 alone, 130,500 units found buyers in Europe, making the Clio the continent’s best-selling car.
Renault has yet to disclose detailed specifications of the newcomer, but expectations lean toward a careful evolution rather than sweeping change. With the Clio carrying the weight of three and a half decades of commercial success, the Munich premiere is set to refine, not reinvent, the small hatchback that defines Renault’s mass-market appeal.
