Renault Clio Generation Aims to Be More Than Just Budget-Friendly

Renault has unveiled a limited edition of the Clio called Generation, offering a slightly better-equipped version of an already familiar package—at a friendlier price. It’s a clever move for a model that’s earned its stripes on the sales charts, with nearly 16 million units sold worldwide.

Built on the Evolution trim level, the Clio Generation adds a reversing camera and a Look pack that includes tinted rear windows, 16-inch alloy wheels and a touch of gloss on the grille. The whole deal is priced at just €16,590—somehow even cheaper than the base model.

Two engine options are available, both at the same price. One is a 90-horsepower TCe petrol engine, a familiar three-cylinder setup. The other, the Eco-G 100, is an LPG version that plays the eco card by trimming CO₂ emissions by 8 percent.

Customization comes in the form of four exterior colors, one of which is free, with the rest available for an extra charge. Naturally, additional comfort packages—like keyless entry and a rain sensor—are sold separately.
