Direct Connection Targets More Than 671 kW for the Ram Rumble Bee SRT
Ram will offer a range of Direct Connection performance parts for its new Rumble Bee pickup family. The most powerful package uses a 3.0-litre supercharger and is expected to lift the Rumble Bee SRT beyond 900 hp, or 671 kW. It is not a separate production model, but a factory-backed upgrade to be installed after the truck has been purchased.
Standard Truck Produces 579 kW
The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT is powered by a supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8. In standard form, it produces 777 hp, equivalent to 579 kW, and 680 lb-ft, or 922 Nm. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Ram quotes a 0–60 mph time of 3.4 seconds, equivalent to 0–97 km/h, along with an 11.6-second quarter-mile and a targeted top speed of 170 mph, or 274 km/h. Every Rumble Bee features full-time active four-wheel drive, although the driver can disconnect the front axle for rear-wheel-drive-only operation.
The Rumble Bee SRT comes as standard with air suspension, a dedicated Track mode, launch control, 325/40 R22 all-season tyres and six-piston Brembo front brakes. Unlike the off-road-focused TRX, the Rumble Bee has been developed primarily for high-performance road and circuit driving.
Larger Supercharger Targets More Than 900 hp
The Direct Connection package replaces the SRT’s standard 2.4-litre twin-screw supercharger with a larger 3.0-litre unit. The kit also includes an oversized air-to-water intercooler and a high-capacity coolant pump designed to support consistent performance.
Ram is targeting more than 900 hp, equivalent to over 671 kW. The company has not yet released final power, torque or performance figures for the upgraded truck. The quoted 3.4-second 0–60 mph time and targeted 274 km/h top speed therefore apply only to the standard 777 hp model.
The supercharger kit carries a US MSRP of $10,995 before installation, equivalent to roughly €9,500 at the time of writing. Labour and local taxes are charged separately.
When installed by an ASE-certified Mopar technician, the kit is covered by a five-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty matching the truck’s original limited powertrain coverage. The announcement applies to the North American market, and no equivalent European warranty or sales programme has been confirmed.
Less Powerful Versions Get Superchargers Too
Direct Connection will also offer 3.0-litre supercharger kits for the other Rumble Bee powertrains. In the 5.7-litre model, output rises from 395 hp, or 295 kW, to more than 600 hp, or 447 kW. The 6.4-litre Rumble Bee 392 and 392 Track Pack increase from 470 hp, or 350 kW, to more than 700 hp, or 522 kW.
The 5.7-litre Rumble Bee and its Direct Connection parts are scheduled to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2026. The Rumble Bee 392, 392 Track Pack and SRT, together with their corresponding performance parts, are planned for the first half of 2027. Ram has not announced official European sales for either the trucks or the Direct Connection upgrades.
The upgraded Rumble Bee SRT differs from a conventional tuning project through its factory-backed hardware, calibration and warranty support. For European buyers, at least initially, it is likely to remain an American performance flagship available only through specialist importers.
