Mopar Sneak Peek No. 2

Ram Heads to SEMA with a V8 and a Cowboy Hat

Ram is preparing something rather loud and lime-green for Las Vegas’s most famous tuning show, SEMA. At the heart of this pickup beats the old-school V8 Hemi, a defiant engine choice born more of protest than nostalgia. Fans demanded their eight cylinders back, and Ram listened.

Stellantis and its tuning arm Mopar have released a second teaser for their SEMA show cars. The photo shows a Ram 1500, though official details remain under wraps. The engine, however, gives the game away: this one runs on a V8 Hemi.

The truck glows in a vivid lime-green finish, the sort that makes people on the Vegas Strip pause and reach for their sunglasses. On the fender sits a symbolic badge reading Symbol of Protest, featuring a V8 silhouette and a ram’s head — a nod to the brand’s loyalists pushing back against an electrified future.

And then there’s the small but impossible-to-miss touch perched on the side mirror: a cowboy hat. It’s a cheeky hint that this Ram has embraced the spirit of the Wild West. Whether it’s a serious off-roader or just a showpiece, Mopar isn’t saying yet.

One thing is certain. When it rolls into SEMA, this Ram won’t hum quietly. It will roar.
