Porsche Cayenne at Goodwood: Electric Future, Black Elegance and Mud-Ready Muscle in One
Porsche’s new era for the Cayenne roared into the Goodwood Festival of Speed with a triple showcase: a fully electric prototype, a striking Black Edition, and proof that this SUV doesn’t flinch at the edge of a muddy forest.
The all-electric Cayenne prototype made repeated uphill runs, clinging to the course with uncanny poise. Thanks to Porsche Active Ride suspension, the body remained eerily flat during hard braking and fast cornering, as if the car were tethered to the sky by invisible wire.
While the future drew cheers, the present turned heads. The new Cayenne Black Edition stepped onto the stage like it had just left a bespoke tailor. Glossy black accents, a Sport Design front bumper, tinted HD Matrix LED headlights, 21-inch wheels emblazoned with the Porsche crest and a cabin finished in anodised black aluminium sent a clear message: compromise is not invited.
Three powertrains, two body styles and a wealth of luxury features are on offer. Expect 14-way electric seats, a BOSE sound system and the unmistakable feeling that you’re driving something a class above.
