Porsche 911 GT3 Ocelot: A Sports Car with the Spirit of a Jungle Cat
The Porsche 911 GT3 Touring has gained a rare and evocative new alter ego. Called the Ocelot, it draws inspiration from the rainforests of South America and pays homage to the elusive wildcat that moves through the Amazon as gracefully as a 911 through a mountain pass.
As Porsche Newsroom reports, the 911 GT3 Ocelot was created in collaboration with the brand’s Sonderwunsch customisation division. The car celebrates the 25th anniversary of Porsche Latin America and introduces a new collection titled Iconos de Latinoamérica. The series will include several one-off models, each representing a country where Porsche has a presence.
The Ocelot wears Forest Green Metallic paint, a deep shade reminiscent of tropical foliage, offset by Centenaire Silver accents that nod to the chrome details of classic 1960s 911s. Even the 21-inch wheels share the same tone, ensuring a seamless, unified look.
Open the door and the rainforest theme continues. The cabin blends warm brown leather with Porsche’s heritage Pepita fabric, creating a palette inspired by the ocelot’s coat — a mix of brown, black, and white that strikes a balance between contrast and elegance. Each headrest carries a pressed silhouette of the cat itself, echoing Colombia’s roadside signs warning, “Cuidado, Ocelotes Cruzando.”
Mechanically, the car remains a pure 911 GT3 Touring at heart. Beneath the rear deck sits a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, a combination that delivers 510 horsepower and an experience that’s more craft than conveyance. Carscoops confirms that no performance changes were made, staying true to the car’s raw, mechanical spirit.
Porsche emphasises that the Ocelot is more than a one-off collector’s item. It represents a shift in how the brand approaches exclusivity — blending local culture, design, and craftsmanship into personalised automotive art. Over the next few years, Porsche plans to release additional Iconos de Latinoamérica models, each dedicated to a specific Latin American country and its natural or cultural symbol.
The Porsche 911 GT3 Ocelot is a reminder that even in the age of electrification and automation, emotion still matters. Speed and prestige may have defined luxury once, but today, meaning and identity set it apart. The Ocelot brings a touch of soul to machinery — a car with claws, heart, and unmistakable character.
