Everyone knows that when your vehicle gets stuck in the mud, the key is finding traction. Some swear by the old trick of laying down long logs under the wheels — if they don’t snap, they’ll usually pull you free from almost anything. But when the swamp refuses to cooperate, well, just watch the video to see how quickly things can go from bad to worse.
Everyone who’s ever been off-road knows the feeling — that sinking moment when the tires spin uselessly and the ground swallows you whole. The classic bushcraft fix is to slide a few sturdy tree trunks under the driven wheels, using them as makeshift tracks to claw your way out. It’s crude but effective — in theory.
In this case, however, the laws of physics had other ideas. The logs flex, the mud deepens, and what begins as a clever escape plan soon turns into a slapstick lesson in momentum and misplaced confidence. Sometimes the more you struggle, the deeper you go — and sometimes the only thing left to do is laugh, hose everything down, and swear never to try that again.
