Mansory gives the Porsche 911 Turbo S a more restrained Softkit tuning package
Mansory added a new Softkit tuning package to its Porsche 911 range for the 992.2 generation Turbo S. The programme focuses mainly on carbon fibre bodywork and wheels, while engine upgrades and cabin revisions remain available as optional extras.
Mansory calls this the softer option
Mansory introduced the new Softkit programme for the Porsche 911 Turbo S as a quieter alternative to its usual visual theatre. Compared with the company’s more aggressive builds, this one sits on the calmer side of the showroom, since the core package does not include a full engine upgrade or a heavily reworked interior.
That does not mean the parts list is short. Mansory offers a front spoiler with side extensions and additional blades, mirror caps, side skirts, trim for the rear air intakes, a larger two piece rear spoiler and a new diffuser. Each of those components can be ordered in carbon fibre.
New wheels give the 911 a tougher stance
The package also includes Mansory FS.5 forged wheels, measuring 9.5 by 21 inches at the front and 12 by 22 inches at the rear. The tyres are sized 255/30 ZR21 and 335/25 ZR22 respectively. Mansory says this set up improves lateral stability and directional precision at high speed.
On the display car, Mansory used dark red carbon fibre for parts including the front bumper add on, side skirts, rear intake surrounds and mirror caps. Buyers can also specify a larger diffuser, a more substantial rear wing and alternative exhaust tips.
Price remains under wraps
Mansory did not reveal a price for the Softkit package. The company did point out that the aerodynamic parts can be ordered separately, rather than only as a complete set. Interior trim and other personalisation options remain available on request.
Strictly speaking, this is a visual and aerodynamic tuning package for the Porsche 911 Turbo S. Whether it counts as soft depends on the yardstick. By Mansory standards, the Softkit is restrained. Park it next to a regular 911 Turbo S, and the word starts to feel rather elastic.
