Job done, road smooth, everyone happy — almost. After finishing resurfacing work, the crew apparently decided to deal with the leftover asphalt in the most straightforward way possible: by dumping it straight into the roadside ditch. To make things even more official, they placed a few traffic cones beside the heap so that no one would drive into it.
The mound of wasted material has reportedly been sitting there for over a week, slowly hardening into a black monument to efficiency gone wrong. Not exactly the most imaginative use of taxpayers’ money.
