Kia marked a major milestone in its electric journey, announcing that Kia Charge now provides access to more than one million charging points across 27 European countries. The achievement underscores the brand’s ambition for a connected, fully electric future.

Through the Kia App, the entire charging ecosystem comes together in one seamless digital experience, making EV ownership simpler and more intuitive than ever.

Kia Charge integrates charging networks across Europe, including the IONITY ultra-fast charging network, which currently operates around 5,000 stations and is on track to reach 13,000 by the end of the decade. From compact EV3 and EV4 models to the flagship EV9 and upcoming PV5, Kia drivers can now find a compatible charger almost anywhere European roads reach.

The Kia App ties together Kia Connect, Kia Charge, MyKia and the digital service book into one coherent platform. Drivers can plan routes, monitor charging sessions and manage subscriptions within a single interface. On the road, the system suggests nearby charging stops and even allows drivers to pre-set desired battery levels for each planned stop.

The new Plug&Charge feature takes convenience further. Once the cable is connected, charging begins automatically — no cards, no secondary apps, just instant communication between car and charger.

Beyond convenience, Kia Charge also reinforces the brand’s commitment to sustainability. Every charging session uses electricity from renewable sources, either directly or via certified European renewable energy schemes. All IONITY stations already operate on 100% renewable power, ensuring that each kilometre driven contributes to a cleaner energy future.

Originally launched to simplify charging for Kia EV owners, Kia Charge has grown into one of Europe’s largest connected charging platforms. It represents more than just access points and cables — it’s the backbone of an emerging electric ecosystem where smart systems make charging feel effortless, natural, and almost invisible in everyday mobility.
