In the realm of American luxury SUVs, there’s a new definition of excess. Jeep has unleashed an updated Grand Wagoneer—a colossal hybrid that packs supercar-level power while preserving the plush composure expected of a flagship off-roader.
The Grand Wagoneer, Jeep’s most opulent model, has undergone a measured yet meaningful refresh. The smaller Wagoneer nameplate has been officially retired, simplifying the lineup so that all versions now fall under the Grand Wagoneer banner—a move that underscores the brand’s push further upmarket.
Visually, the changes are subtle but deliberate. The signature seven-slot grille now integrates a continuous light strip that merges elegantly with the daytime running lights. A reshaped front bumper with a larger air intake and new T-shaped DRLs give the SUV a more assertive presence, while the rear gains redesigned taillights and a fully chrome-free finish for a cleaner, more modern aesthetic. Wheel options now range from 18 to 22 inches, adding to the sense of confident heft.
Inside, the updates lean heavily toward technology. The central infotainment screen grows to 12 inches (up from 10.1), and the head-up display now projects more information in sharper resolution. Otherwise, the cabin remains a sanctuary of quiet luxury, lined with supple leather, fine wood accents, and the understated craftsmanship that has become the modern Jeep hallmark.
Under the hood, the familiar 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six remains, producing 426 horsepower and 635 Nm of torque. But the real story is the new hybrid powerhouse—the Grand Wagoneer REEV. Its setup pairs a V6 Pentastar engine that functions solely as a generator with a massive 92 kWh battery feeding the electric motors. The result: a staggering 656 horsepower and 840 Nm of torque. Despite its size, this giant can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just five seconds and, according to early estimates, cover over 800 kilometers without refueling.
Production is set to begin by the end of the year, with the hybrid version following shortly thereafter. Jeep promises to reveal detailed technical specs and range figures closer to launch—but one thing is already certain: the Grand Wagoneer REEV redefines what it means to blend brute American muscle with cutting-edge electrification.
