Jaguar TCS Racing Enters a New Era with Fresh Leadership, Line-up and Livery
Jaguar TCS Racing has unveiled its new Formula E challenger for the 2025/26 ABB FIA season, marking the start of a new chapter with a fresh team principal, an updated driver pairing and a revised team structure.
The British outfit revealed the new I-TYPE 7 design at its Gaydon headquarters, ready to take on the team’s tenth season in electric single-seater racing. Former Mercedes team boss Ian James takes the helm, joined by drivers Mitch Evans and Portugal’s António Félix da Costa, the 2019/20 Formula E world champion. Between them, they hold 14 race victories, making this the most successful driver partnership in Formula E history.
The team’s first public appearance will come during the official pre-season test in Valencia from 27 to 31 October. Jaguar heads into its tenth season following its best campaign to date, finishing second in both the teams’ and manufacturers’ standings and taking a record six race wins.
Visually, the I-TYPE 7 retains Jaguar’s trademark black, white and gold colour scheme, now sharpened with more angular geometric detailing. Technically, the GEN3 Evo-era car remains largely unchanged ahead of the new season, but gains an enhanced electric powertrain and lighter auxiliary systems for improved handling and thermal efficiency. A redesigned rear suspension further boosts adaptability across the series’ diverse street circuits.
Jaguar’s tenth season in Formula E begins not just with a new car, but with a clear signal of intent, a renewed commitment to speed, precision and electric racing excellence.
