Polish Tuner Races Ahead: Indecent’s Flachbau-Style Porsche 911 Coming This Year
While Porsche itself is still toying with prototypes, independent craftsmen have no patience for waiting. Polish atelier Indecent has announced plans to launch its own take on the legendary Flachbau 911, complete with a flattened nose and brutal mechanicals—an unapologetic homage to the Eighties icon. And it may all arrive before Stuttgart has even spoken a word.
Indecent, a small but ambitious tuning outfit in Poland with a reputation for daring projects, has unveiled the first sketches of its boldest creation yet: a deeply reworked Porsche 911. The design draws directly from the fabled Flachbau editions, whose low-slung noses and repositioned headlights stood apart from conventional 911s.
According to early renderings, Indecent’s 911 will feature a reshaped front end, widened arches with integrated air intakes, and a towering rear wing. The result is a car with an aggressive stance that would not look out of place in the Nürburgring paddock.
The hardware is just as serious. The build is set to include Öhlins suspension, centre-lock forged wheels, and carbon-ceramic brakes. The headline, however, is under the engine cover: a 600-horsepower flat-six, not boosted by turbocharging but by a mechanical supercharger. Power will flow through a seven-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels only—preserving the classic 911 driving feel.
Indecent has yet to reveal which platform underpins the project, but promises a full unveiling before the end of the year.
Curiously, Porsche itself has recently been spotted testing a Flachbau-style 911 prototype at the Nürburgring. Rumour suggests it may not be a factory product at all, but a Manthey Racing package.
Whatever the case, the signs are clear: the Flachbau spirit is back, and Indecent looks poised to revive the icon before Porsche itself makes a move.
