Hyundai’s Ioniq 6 N Promises to Be Hotter Than Ever, With Debut Set for July at Goodwood

If the Ioniq 5 N caught everyone off guard and shattered the myth that electric cars are boring, Hyundai’s next blow is already on the horizon. The Ioniq 6 N—a sleek sedan with a savage streak—is on its way.

The public debut is set for July 10 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, but teaser images already flooding the web suggest this isn’t your average family EV. Clad in classic Hyundai N Performance Blue with aggressive red accents and low-profile rubber hugging sporty wheels, this car clearly isn’t here to deliver pastries.

At a glance, the Ioniq 6 N nods to the tamer N Line version, but every detail has been sharpened like a predator’s teeth. There’s pixelated lightplay up front, sculpted bumpers, and most striking of all, a massive rear wing that makes the N Line’s ducktail look like a polite decal.

Under the skin, expect the same muscle found in the Ioniq 5 N: dual electric motors—one at each axle—delivering 609 horsepower, or 650 with the Boost button pressed. The likely inclusion of an 84 kWh battery means it’s not just fast, but ready to replicate a Nürburgring-worthy thrill ride, even within local speed limits.

Also on board is Hyundai’s N e-shift system, which simulates gear changes paired with the synthetic growl of N Sound Plus. The goal is clear: to make sure you feel like you're driving a real machine, not a glorified appliance.

Lower-slung than its hatchback sibling, the Ioniq 6 N promises tighter aerodynamics, superior grip and sharper cornering speeds. And Hyundai isn’t done yet—they’re holding a few cards for the July reveal. Expect even more surprises when this electric predator steps into the spotlight.
