Giamaro Wants a Bite of Bugatti’s Tailpipe

If you think the hypercar world is just a sci-fi playground for billionaires, where only Bugatti, Koenigsegg, and Pagani get to play with the big toys, think again. There’s a new gladiator stepping into the colosseum: Giamaro Automobili. A wild family obsession that somehow grew wheels, bodywork, and an absolutely unhinged amount of ambition.

Founded in 2021 by two Italians—Emiliano Giacomo Commendatore and his son Pierfrancesco—Giamaro is proof that when a father and son ask, “What if?”, the answer isn’t pizza. It’s a V12 engine and four turbochargers.

Act One: Katla. A hypercar whose heart is a 7-litre V12 capable of unleashing either 1670 or 2157 horsepower, depending on which color-coded ignition key you dare to pull from your pocket.

Katla rides on a carbon-fibre monocoque, mated to an aluminium suspension and a symphony of electronic wizardry designed to keep it glued to the earth, even when the laws of Newton beg to differ. Power is funneled to the rear wheels via a CIMA 7-speed gearbox—but they’ve got an 11-speed robotic transmission tucked up their sleeve, just in case.

Act Two: Albor. Perhaps the boldest creation since the Lancia Stratos was reborn. A two-door coupe-bodied beast. All-wheel drive? Maybe. Maybe not. No one really knows yet. But one thing is certain: Loris Bicocchi—the man who taught the Bugatti Veyron how to sprint and gave the Pagani Zonda its voice—is involved in this mad opera as well.

So no, the future of hypercars isn’t going to be all green and silent. Not if Giamaro has anything to say about it.
