A gruesome crash unfolded late on Sunday night in occupied Luhansk. Two motorcyclists were tearing down an empty street at reckless speed when one ploughed into the back of a Lada waiting at the lights for green.
The rider’s speed was not disclosed, but it was clearly high enough for the bike to punch partway into the car’s cabin, seriously injuring a 20 year old woman inside. Emergency crews needed specialist equipment to free her. The impact also shoved the Lada forwards, injuring the front seat passenger. Both were taken to hospital.
The motorcyclist himself, unsurprisingly, did not survive.
