Europe's Safest Cars of 2024

Euro NCAP specialists have concluded their 2024 vehicle safety evaluations, thoroughly analyzing electric cars, SUVs, sedans, and family vehicles. A notable highlight was the successful performance of the first fully electric pickup truck in safety tests.

Best Electric Car – Zeekr X
In the electric car category, the compact SUV Zeekr X claimed the top spot. Based on numerous crash test results, this Chinese model outperformed well-known competitors such as the Porsche Macan EV, Toyota C-HR, Volvo EX30, Cupra Tavascan, and Xpeng G6. Additionally, Zeekr X was recognized as the best small SUV.

Winner in Large SUVs – Mazda CX-80
Among large SUVs, the Mazda CX-80 received the highest safety rating. In the family car category, the Škoda Superb and Volkswagen Passat stood out as leaders. Moreover, the Chinese-made Maxus eTerron 9, an all-electric pickup truck, earned expert recognition as the first of its kind to successfully pass Euro NCAP crash tests.

Overall Winner of the Year – Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Regardless of category, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class emerged as the absolute winner of 2024. Its superior safety features and unmatched quality set it apart from all other contenders.
