From Vacuums to Velocity: Chinese Appliance Brand Dreame Promises Bugatti-Rivalling Hypercar

Dreame is not thinking small. The company claims its forthcoming flagship will “redefine the hypercar segment,” blending unprecedented levels of electric performance with an AI-driven adaptive user experience and seamless integration across smart devices and connected homes. Among the boldest promises is an attempt at claiming the title of the world’s fastest production car.

To back the talk with substance, Dreame has assembled a dedicated automotive development division of nearly a thousand specialists, drawing both from the car industry and leading-edge tech sectors. At the heart of the project is a proprietary electric motor reportedly capable of spinning up to 200,000 rpm—several times the speed achieved in today’s mainstream EVs.

Onboard systems will be AI-based, capable of communicating with the driver in natural language. Dreame says the car will not merely execute commands but learn from its owner’s habits and tailor itself accordingly. The ambition is to create a machine that serves both as a technological showcase and an unmistakable status symbol. Fittingly, buyers can also expect to receive one of the company’s vacuum cleaners with their multimillion-dollar car.

Whether Dreame can truly deliver a Bugatti rival or whether this vision remains an electronic fantasy will become clear only in a few years. But in ambition, scope and sheer boldness, the first step has been nothing short of remarkable.

Chinese home appliance maker Dreame Technology, best known for its robot vacuum cleaners, has announced an audacious new direction: the company intends to enter the automotive world with a luxury all-electric hypercar aimed squarely at the level of Bugatti and Bentley. The first design sketch has already been released, with a debut penciled in no earlier than 2027.
