CUPRA Terramar comes with new options for headlights

The CUPRA Terramar stands out from other vehicles with its three triangular-shaped lights, which are noticeable both day and night. The headlights use Matrix LED Ultra technology, consisting of LED sectors with 25,000 pixels. The automatic glare-free high beam function detects oncoming or preceding vehicles and redirects the light to avoid dazzling other drivers, without losing visibility on other road sections.

Additionally, the system adjusts to better suit road conditions by automatically regulating light segments from a speed of 30 km/h. This precision is achieved by dividing the LED light beams into twelve separate segments.

The Terramar is also equipped with innovative low beam functions. For example, Lane Light Basic directs additional light onto the driving lane to improve visibility on multi-lane roads. The lane change indicator makes the lighting on one side brighter to inform other drivers of the intended maneuver. Furthermore, the Lane Change Assist system works with the car's side assistants, warning the driver with a light strip if a lane change is not currently safe.

Other technologies include a system that projects animations when opening and closing doors and light lines that indicate the car's width on narrow roads. If the outside temperature drops below 4°C and the speed exceeds 65 km/h, the system projects a snowflake symbol onto the ground and displays a warning on the dashboard, indicating a risk of slipperiness.

All these technological innovations will soon be available on the CUPRA Leon and Formentor models as well, extending the benefits of the new generation lighting across the model range.
