Bentley Mulliner expands its bespoke options for 2026

Bentley is expanding its Mulliner bespoke programme after more than 70 per cent of customers chose some form of personalisation. The 2026 updates focus mainly on paintwork, cabin finishes and lighting details, underlining individuality rather than any major technical change.

More Ombré colours and matching interior trim

Mulliner will increase the Ombré by Mulliner exterior paint range from three colour combinations to eight. According to Bentley, creating the smooth transition between two shades takes two technicians 56 hours. New options include Alpine Green to Verdant, Cricketball to Black Velvet and Portofino to Marlin.

Customers can now match those exterior colours with Ombré piano veneer inside the cabin. The finish links the dashboard and door lines with the body colour, giving the car a more coherent overall feel rather than the usual sense of expensive parts politely sharing the same space.

A sportier look for the Continental GT and Bentayga

The Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible and Bentayga gain a new two tone Mulliner racing stripe. The design uses a broad central stripe with two narrower contrast lines. On the coupé and Bentayga, it runs across the bonnet and roof. On the convertible, naturally, the roof section is absent.

This is a visual update, not a technical one. It suits the more sporting image of S, Speed and special edition models, where a little extra theatre rarely goes unused.

Laser detailing and metal finishes for the cabin

The Continental GT and GTC also gain a new metal “Wave” finish for the centre console. Its woven pattern creates both a visible and tactile effect. Customers can also have their own motifs laser etched onto veneer, carbon fibre or other technical surfaces.

Two new Mulliner welcome light animations will follow soon, although buyers can also commission their own lighting graphics.

Mulliner is now central to Bentley’s business

Mulliner’s growth shows that personalisation in the luxury car market is no longer a side service. Bentley uses it to increase margins and to stand apart from bespoke programmes at Rolls Royce, Mercedes Maybach and Porsche.

The new options will not make a Bentley faster or more practical. They do, however, give the buyer a chance to create something that cannot be assembled from a standard options list.
