Audi has detailed a wave of upgrades for the A5, Q5, A6 e tron and Q6 e tron, aiming to make everyday driving livelier and the cabin easier to understand at a glance.

The S5 and S6 e tron gain a new dynamic plus mode that tightens up the steering and allows controlled oversteer when the mood strikes. Electric models now brake more fluidly, since regenerative braking slows the car to a full stop and sends a greater share of energy back to the battery.

Audi’s assistance systems step into more practical territory. Adaptive cruise control supports lane changes that begin with the driver, and traffic sign recognition adjusts speed for stop signs and local right of way rules. The updated parking assistant can handle reversing, repeat learned manoeuvres and complete a garage entry through a smartphone command.

Inside, drivers meet a new multifunction steering wheel with physical buttons and a clearer user interface that echoes the layout seen in the Q3. Smartphone apps move into the virtual cockpit and the passenger display, giving both front occupants more direct access to navigation, media and messaging.

The voice assistant becomes more capable with ChatGPT support. It can now locate destinations from vague descriptions and handle broader questions on the move. A new 4K dash camera records HDR footage and stores all data inside the car. Experience worlds offers short ambient scenes for quick mood changes, and the cabin adds a more comfortable gaming setup through Bluetooth controllers and headphones.

Audi’s updates underline a clear ambition to strengthen its software strategy and deliver an in car experience that can compete with the digital focus of BMW and Mercedes. The market is drifting towards cars that behave like mobile smart pods, and Audi has little intention of slowing down in that race.
