When it comes to commemorating milestones with gravitas, few marques can match Aston Martin. To celebrate six decades of the Volante name, the British icon of luxury and elegance unveils a pair of exclusive drop-tops that fuse heritage with modern craftsmanship in spectacular style.

For sixty years, the Volante badge has graced Aston Martin’s convertibles, and the brand has chosen to honor the anniversary with something truly extraordinary. Just 120 cars will be built—60 each of the Vanquish Volante and DB12 Volante—each designed as a statement of luxury, rarity, and artisanal detail.

Both grand tourers are cloaked in Pentland Green, a deep, aristocratic hue developed by Aston Martin’s bespoke Q division. The paintwork is offset by warm bronze accents in place of conventional chrome, highlighting the front grille strakes, fender vents, and a set of unique 21-inch forged wheels. All exterior trim pieces are hewn from solid aluminum, underscoring the cars’ permanence and prestige.

Inside, the sense of occasion continues with three leather palettes—brown, dark grey, and cream—interwoven with open-pore walnut veneers. Every detail is deliberate, from the anniversary embossing on the seat headrests to the subtle bronze highlights across switchgear, creating an interior that feels both intimate and ceremonial.

The performance credentials remain pure Aston Martin. The Vanquish Volante houses a 5.2-liter V12 producing 835 horsepower, while the DB12 Volante makes do—if one can call it that—with a 4.0-liter V8 rated at 680 horsepower. It is worth remembering that the Vanquish Volante once debuted as the most powerful front-engined roadster in the world, a title it still evokes in spirit.

Sales are set to begin in the fourth quarter of this year. Pricing remains undisclosed, though it is almost a certainty these limited editions will become instant collectibles. These are not mere cars but rolling works of art, blending sixty years of Volante legacy with contemporary design polished into a masterpiece.
