Aston Martin Marks 75 Years in America at Monterey
Aston Martin once again rolled onto the Monterey stage, this time to celebrate 75 years since its arrival on the American market. For the 2025 Monterey Car Week, the British ultra-luxury marque unveiled yet another special edition dubbed the “Thrillseeker Collection.” Comprising three open-top models, their true contribution to the brand’s history will likely be limited to press photos. All nine examples are already spoken for, as tends to be the case with these over-mystified series.
The “Thrillseeker” palette draws inspiration from the morning fog and evening dusk of Carmel Bay. As always, Q by Aston Martin has signed off on bronze-toned wheels, trim accents, and even a set of luggage in matching hues. At least in photographs, the effect shines.
More serious attention in Monterey, however, is reserved for the Aston Martin Valhalla, the brand’s first mid-engined hybrid supercar to reach series production. A prototype that once gathered dust for years has now stepped into the spotlight at both The Quail and Pebble Beach’s concept lawn. Valhalla blends F1-derived technology with a plug-in hybrid system and electric-only range, staking Aston Martin’s claim on the modern supercar arena.
Beyond the show floor, Aston Martin hosted private gatherings, test drives, and Glenfiddich whisky events at its so-called clubhouse in Pebble Beach. The DBX S and Vantage S marked the return of the “S” designation to the lineup.
The week concluded with the brand’s presence at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance—the one event where even the glossiest layer of marketing froth is seen for what it is.
