Aston Martin Revives Heritage Colours for Five One-Off Sports Cars
Aston Martin Newport Beach and the marque’s bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin, have unveiled five one-off Heritage Edition sports cars. The 2027 model-year DB12, Vanquish and Vantage commissions pair colours from Aston Martin’s past with specially curated interiors.
Five Cars, Five Heritage Colours
Aston Martin says each car is a unique commission available exclusively through its Newport Beach dealership in California. The collection comprises:
DB12 Volante — Pale Primrose
DB12 Coupé — Pacific Blue
Vanquish — Tudor Green
Vantage Coupé — Winchester Blue
Vantage Roadster — Mink Silver
Pale Primrose appeared on the cover of the 1958 DB4 sales brochure and later gained wider recognition through Corgi’s Aston Martin scale models. Pacific Blue was first offered on the DB4 before appearing on the DB5 and DB6.
Tudor Green and Winchester Blue are closely associated with Aston Martins of the 1970s. Mink Silver, meanwhile, takes its inspiration from the pale metallic finishes popular during the DB6 era. More than 100 DB6s were originally finished in Mink.
Bespoke Treatment Continues Inside
All five cars feature Q perforated fluted seats, Q Heritage Aston Martin logo embroidery on the centre armrest and exclusive Heritage Edition sill plaques. The DB12 Coupé, DB12 Volante and Vanquish also receive dark walnut open-pore wood inlays. This is the first time the current-generation Vantage and Vanquish have been fitted with this seat design.
The commissions appear to be cosmetic, with Aston Martin announcing no changes to the engines, chassis or transmissions. The DB12’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 produces 500 kW and 800 Nm. The Vanquish is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 developing 614 kW and 1,000 Nm, and has a top speed of 345 km/h.
European Customers Can Also Use the Q Programme
The Heritage Edition is neither a global limited-production model nor an option package destined for European price lists. All five cars were commissioned by Aston Martin Newport Beach, and prices have not been disclosed.
The collection nevertheless demonstrates what Q by Aston Martin can offer customers elsewhere. European buyers can also approach their local Aston Martin dealership to commission a bespoke car through the programme. Q allows historic colours, materials and detailing to be combined with current models, creating cars that stand well apart from the choices offered by the standard configurator.
