Fools on Fire: Amateur Arsonists Torch Their Own Getaway Car

If you’re going to commit arson, one would think the bare minimum is keeping your own getaway car intact. But a trio of aspiring firebugs in South Australia clearly had other ideas, like burning everything, including their ride.

Surveillance footage captures the scene in all its scorched glory: three masterminds attempt to ignite someone else’s property, but nature, physics, and likely their own IQ levels join forces against them. The result? Their escape vehicle catches fire, lurches forward, and rolls away in flames - less a calculated crime, more a low-budget action scene with no stunt coordinator and even less brainpower.

The suspects ultimately flee on foot, presumably pondering the bigger questions in life, or at the very least, learning why you never pour gasoline upwind.
