A Black and White Artwork Born from the Collaboration of Alpine and Mathieu Cesari – A110 S Monochromatic
Alpine introduced its 2024 masterpiece in Paris, created in collaboration with internationally acclaimed photographer Mathieu Cesar. This time, the iconic Alpine A110 S model became a black-and-white masterpiece, merging contemporary photography with the automotive industry.
Mathieu Cesar, known for his retro-futuristic style, drew inspiration from his photography's ability to highlight contrasts between light and shadow. In collaboration with the Alpine design team, the A110 S Monochromatic was born, where every shade of black, white, and gray was fine-tuned to accentuate the car's sporty lines and details. The result is a design that emphasizes simplicity as elegance and power as art.
The A110 S Monochromatic highlights the sleekness and strength of Alpine's legendary model. The car, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and boasting 300 hp, embodies sportiness in every detail. The exterior features a black-and-white gradient, with a glossy black front seamlessly blending into white shades. Inside, the play of contrasts continues – the black lower part contrasts with the white upper part, creating a visual sense of lightness and purity. 3D-printed details and aluminum elements add a unique finish.
This collaboration is not merely a design project – it is a dialogue between Mathieu Cesar's skills as a light artist and Alpine's automotive expertise. Together, they created a work of art that is both powerful and refined.
Mathieu Cesar captured the essence of the Monochromatic A110 S in a timeless photo series and film, where light and shadow play on the car's surface, transforming it into a sculpture from a parallel world.
