In 2024, Dacia secured an 8.2% share of the European passenger car market for retail customers, a slight dip from 8.3% in 2023. For the fourth consecutive year, the brand maintained its position among the top three in Europe. Dacia’s strong performance was underscored by record-high market shares in several countries: Austria (4.2%), Belgium-Luxembourg (5.2%), Germany (2.5%), Italy (6.2%), and Portugal (7.7%).

Key Models Driving Success
Dacia’s remarkable results were built on the strength of four core models:

Sandero: The top-selling vehicle in the European retail market since 2017. Sales increased by 14.5% in 2024, reaching 309,392 units, marking the first time a Dacia vehicle exceeded 300,000 units in a single year.
Duster: Europe's best-selling SUV for retail customers, with 215,024 units sold in 2024 (+7.3%), crossing the milestone of 2.5 million units since its launch in 2010. Hybrid variants accounted for 29% of sales following the release of a new generation in May.
Spring: Despite a 63% drop in sales in 2024 due to reduced subsidies, the introduction of a refreshed version in September led to an uptick in orders during the last quarter.
Jogger: With 96,440 units sold (+2.4%), the Jogger remains among the top three non-SUV vehicles in the European C-segment retail market. Hybrid variants also accounted for 29% of its sales.
Loyalty and Customer Retention
Dacia has enhanced its position by delivering affordable yet high-quality experiences. Among the five largest European markets (France, UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain), 62.3% of new Dacia buyers were first-time Renault Group customers, while 81.1% of Dacia owners remain loyal to the group.

Outlook for 2025
Dacia is entering a pivotal phase in 2025 with ambitious goals and significant challenges ahead:

Bigster: Dacia’s first C-segment SUV will offer exceptional value for money. Prices start at €24,990 for petrol variants and €29,700 for hybrids, embodying the brand’s commitment to affordability. Sales begin in January 2025, with showroom availability expected in spring.
Electrification: The lineup will expand with more hybrid powertrains, reflecting Dacia’s strategy of delivering accessible and simple electrified mobility.
Dacia’s adventurous image will also be bolstered by its participation in the Dakar Rally and the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship, demonstrating its capabilities in extreme conditions.

Dacia remains poised to grow its market share by staying true to its mission of offering practical, affordable, and innovative vehicles.
